SIMC is currently open for applications for potential courses and seminars to be run during the Fall semester 2021/2022.
The deadline for the applications is June 30, 2021. Once collected, the applications will be assessed by a special committee. The Fall semester will begin on September 6, 2021. The classes can be run in person, online, or in a mixed format. The necessary tech support will be provided by SIMC. Reading a course is rewarded with a single payment of 150 000 rubles, while running a seminar – with a payment of 100 000 rubles. The course (seminar) must consist of at least 10 lectures (meetings), all happening during the semester.
Applications should include:
- name of the course/seminar (including the information whether it is a course or a seminar),
- names and emails of the lecturers/organizers,
- annotation and preliminary program (can be attached as a PDF file),
- preferred day of the week (in case a room is necessary).
The committee welcomes courses and seminars on a wide range of mathematical subjects which can be interesting to a large number of students.
Please, send your applications via email to S. Nemirovski (stefan@mi-ras.ru) with a copy to I. Chimidova (chimidova@mi-ras.ru).
International Conference "Lectures in Memory of I. R. Shafarevich" will be held online on June 1–4, 2021.
